Found an interesting picture of comedian Ed Wynn wearing his vest filled with honorary Fire Department badges. I can’t be sure, but I believe there’s a Detroit badge. (On his right side, just under the very large badge near the top of his vest, inner most in the line of 3 badges)

Ed Wynn hosted a popular radio show that ran for most of the 1930’s called “The Fire Chief”. He also played his Fire Chief character in two movies, Follow the Leader (1930) and The Chief (1933).
